The International University of the Caribbean was founded by the United Church in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands in November 2005. It consists of two educational entities: College for Leadership and Theological Development and the Mel Nathan College.
The International University of the Caribbean is an institution which draws on a long tradition in the field of education and represents one of the most insightful responses to the realities and challenges of the Caribbean.
The international University of the Caribbean will function with a “Missional calling to influence the formation of quality leaders who are critically aware, spiritually and culturally sensitive, open to new and long life learning and as a consequence, will cultivate and promote the present and future well-being of family, community, and nation”.
